Zigatango
Currently I play in the Gypsy/Tango/Folk outfit Zigatango. The band formed in 2006 and we have played several festivals and gigs around Perth. We will be heading on tour through Tasmania in early January 2009 to play at the Cygnet Folk Festival and the Tamar Valley festival which we are looking forward to as it will be our first tour with the band. Fingers crossed that there will me many more to come!
For everyone who has supported us over the last couple of years, a big thankyou. If you are interested in what we do, you can check out our website at www.zigatango.com.

I have also been involved in numerous other groups over the years including UWA campus band finalists Cook Street Project (CSP) and the Western Australian Youth Orchestra (WAYMA). The orchestra in which I played cello toured to Europe twice, in 2003 and 2005 I think.

I have also played jazz piano in a number of swing/jazz outfits over the years playing as a soloist in coffee lounges, in jazz duos at weddings and various other functions, and as part of a full swing ensemble. Whilst classically trained, I have gone down the jazz/blues/improvisation path, and thus enjoy jamming with other musos.
I am always looking at new music and keen to jam, so if you like what I do, then feel free to drop me an email or something.
Cheers
Rich
